Shop Policies

     At Crawford Leather Co, I take high priority in providing my customers with the best products, using high quality supplies from American companies, all handmade by me only, in my shop here in Mayhill, New Mexico. I stand behind my workmanship and the materials I select to create my products. 
Should there be a defect due to my workmanship or material defect, I will replace OR repair at no cost to you,  during the first twelve months of owning your new item. *however shipping charges may apply. 
Proper cleaning and care of your items will ensure they last for the years to come. I will hold every customer to the responsibility of caring for your items, just as it is my responsibility to take care when crafting them. 
General Care & Cleaning
Whilst I use the best quality supplies, and double-ply my horse tack for durability, I do not recommend every hauling your horse in any tack items, or tying to trailers or fence posts, as we all know horses will rub on anything they can. When your items are not in use, it is best to keep out of any moisture, direct sunlight or humidity. These conditions will disintegrate and weaken the leathers, dyes, adhesives and overall integrity of the products. Over time yes the leathers can soften and become darker in color but caring for them can ensure longevity. 
Use a professional leather conditioner applied directly to help protect and retain moisture for supple-ness and strength regularly. Do not use any cleaner that is not designed for leather care. 
Hair-On-Hides are natural, and will shed over time, as do all things with hair. Eventually you will see bald areas over time. If this is not a look or condition you are ok with or understand, please do not order or purchase anything using a hair-on-hide. Shedding or balding of these hides is not covered under the warranty as this is a natural effect. 
It is the customer's responsibility to use the recommended measures to retain the condition of your purchased items. I (Crawford Leather Co) will not warranty any costs or issues due to abuse or neglect to care for your items; such as but not limited to; tying a horse with tack on, swimming, rolling in mud or scratching, loss or stolen. 
Should you have an issue with your item to my fault, I will provide a complimentary assessment of the issue and offer an appropriate solution for each individual issue. *this does not include sizing issues*
For repairs you will be required to return the item via dropoff or shipping to me directly at your cost of shipping, no cost to do you for repair *see above in warranty section* 
Even exchanges will be accepted on ready-to-ship inventory. I will not approve or accept exchanges or refunds on custom ordered items, firm.
